Welcome to 100 Voices of Florida hosted by Lab 3 Productions (“We”).

We organize a grant (“Grant”) for filmmakers with connections to Florida. The monetary award for winning the Grant will be up to $5,000 USD (“Prize”). Information about the latest Grant will be listed directly on 100vof.com (“Website”) on the Grant page. Unless otherwise specifically described, each Grant will follow the rules in which an interested participant (“Entrant”) shall fill out and submit an application form by the deadline: July 31, 2025 at 10pm ET. The application form requires the Entrant’s first & last name, phone number, email, a brief description as to how the Entrant will be using the prize, a brief description of the Entrant’s connection to Florida, an entry fee of $25 USD, and a viewing link to the short film or PDF to your short script. The Prize is awarded to the short film or script (“Winner”) by a panel of judges with professional filmmaking experience. The name of the Entrant and the description as to how the Prize will be spent is not included in the judging process. Winner, if they choose to accept the Prize, is able to use it as they chose given that this Prize is unrestricted.

Eligibility: Each Grant is open to all filmmakers who are 18 years of age or older and have a connection to Florida. We encourage filmmakers to submit films made in or stories that take place in Florida, but it is not required. Winner may be asked to show proof of eligibility prior to receiving the Prize. The short film must be either submitted in English or with accurate English subtitles if in another language; scripts must be in English. Entrants seeking finishing funds for their films are allowed to participate. Submitted films or scripts can be entered into other contests or competitions, such as film festivals. Currently, there are no requirements to when the short film was produced. FIlm or script adaptations are ineligible unless the underlying rights are owned by the Entrant or the work is in the public domain; entrants may be asked to confirm the aforementioned. We reserve the right to amend these requirements at any time.

Rules: Grant submissions are only accepted via electronic submission found on the Site on the “Grant” page. Once the deadline has passed, we will no longer accept applications. The total running time for submitted short films must be under twenty minutes; scripts must be twenty pages or less. Any submitted film or script that is over will automatically be disqualified and no refunds will be given. At this time, Entrants are allow to submit more than one short film or script but must submit separate a submission forms and $25 USD fee per short film or script. All short films submitted to the Grant remains with the original rights holder. To minimize complications, we discourage films submitted by a directorial or writing teams as we not be able to split the Prize. If a directorial or writing team submits, and that short film or script is selected to be the Winner, the Prize will only be sent to the Entrant. Entrants are expected to stay on top of their inbox as communication will be primarily sent through email. Winner may be asked to submit proof of eligibility, such as government issued identification, release form and affidavit to receive funds, film-related paperwork, and more. Failure to respond with requested information in three days may result in disqualification. Prior to receiving the Prize, the Winner must participate in a recorded interview to discuss the film which will be shared on the Website and on social media platforms, and re-submit the film including a 100VOF graphic that we provide. This graphic must be at least three seconds in the opening credits and will read “Supported by 100 Voices of Florida, learn more at 100vof.com”.
