“My intention with the prize money to invest in a new camera for documenting my upcoming project, which focuses on the residents of Eatonville, Florida, and delves into the rich history of Zora Neale Hurston's hometown.”

A Caribbean-American coming-of-age story centering around two best friends afraid of getting in the water. Through the intimacy of sisterhood, Ambar and Larimar unearth and heal these generational fears.
